He fell into the trap I see too many artists snared in: blaming the fans. <br /><br />He claimed the internet had made fans lazy and stingy. <br /><br />I claimed that it just was a matter of giving your fans a reason to buy. Which sounds way more fun to me than just beating them over the head with advertising.<br /><br />Conclusion: The industry isn't failing. Its changing. <br /><br />Its going to be a wild ride- but a fun one with new opportunities. Technology changed the industry- music used to be something to listen to. Now its something you own.
